Here We Go!

finally, we have all the photographs!
somehow we feel a bit disappointed that they don't fully portray what we saw and how incredibly it all felt.
many times we were faced with the most amazing places that were so overwhelming in their scale and beauty and at the same time very difficult to photograph, as you can't JUST take a photograph like a postcard.. well, we did anyway and we'll be sharing them with you.
it will be nice to go through it all over again, as we do - over and over again.

jakos nie jestesmy z nich az tak zadowoleni, bo nie oddaja do konca tego, co widzielismy i jakie niesamowite bylo to przezycie.
wiele razy bylismy w miejscach, ktore zniewalaly swoja skala i pieknem, bedac za razem niemalze niemozliwymi do sfotografowania, bo przeciez nie mozna tak po prostu robic zdjec, jak pocztowki.. ale coz, czesto tak wlasnie robilismy i tymi wlasnie pocztowkami bedziemy sie z Wami dzielic.
fajnie bedzie tez na nowo to przezywac, ogladajac te zdjecia, jak i robimy (w kolko).
wiec prosimy o zagladanie i milego ogladania!

not counting getting lost and finding the way again, driving around towns and cities, canyons, valleys and deserts. Mal as the one and only--and best--driver. that's us, in a silver ford focus (american version), through four states, from August 31st  to September 13th 2011.

nie liczac gubienia i odnajdywania wlasciwej drogi, bladzenia po miastach, kanionach, dolinach i pustyniach. z Mal, jako jedynym i najlepszym kierowca. to my, w srebrnym fordzie focusie (w amerykanskiej wersji), przez cztery stany, od 31ego sierpnia do 13ego wrzesnia 2011.

Being there with him, starting our very special adventure

This is a photograph my husband took of me in LA's Downtown around three weeks ago.
I can't show you much more before we develop all the films but I was looking at these this morning (M. was scanning first 2 films late at night) and once more I was stunned how well he can capture a moment in time.
I love this photograph as it shows me happy, peaceful and content (despite tiredness with heat..). Combination of those was something I was longing for quite some time...
I hope you'll forgive me this confession but it's all still quite unbelievable to me ;)
Be patient and look out for loads more!

Oto zdjecie, ktore zrobil mi moj maz okolo trzech tygodni temu w Downtown LA.
Nie moge pokazac wiecej zanim wywolamy wszystkie zdjecia, ale patrzylam dzis rano na te zdjecia (M. skanowal 2 pierwsze klisze do poznej nocy) i po raz kolejny nie moglam sie nadziwic jak pieknie uchwycil wyjatkowy moment.
Uwielbiam to zdjecie, bo w cudowny sposob pokazuje mnie szczesliwa, spokojna i spelniona (mimo zmeczenia upalem..).
Ta kombinacja byla dla mnie do pewnego czasu nieosiagalna...
Mam nadzieje, ze wybaczycie mi to wynurzenie, ale dalej mnie to zadziwia ;)
Prosimy o cierpliwosc i zagladanie tu, gdyz niedlugo juz bedzie tu mnostwo nowosci!

We're back!

we're back and with so many beautiful memories and interesting observations!
we have 44 rolls of film to develop so you need to be patient, it will take some time ;)
as soon as they are ready we will be sharing some hopefully amazing photos with you. we must say, the scenery was so incredible and unreal that very often it was really difficult to photograph but still we hope they will epitomize the beauty of the places we visited.
meantime one of the photos I took with my phone in San Francisco. on the last day we went to Chinatown for dinner, this is what I found in fortune cookie at the end of our honeymoon so we're ok :)

jak tylko beda gotowe bedziemy pokazywac nasze zdjecia. musimy przyznac, ze sceneria byla tak niesamowita, ze czesto trudno bylo ja fotografowac, ale mamy nadzieje, ze nasze zdjecia i tak zobrazuja piekno i wyjatkowsc odwiedzonych miejsc.
tymczasem, oto jedno ze zdjec, ktore zrobilam telefonem w San Francisco. w ostatni dzien poszlismy na kolcaje do Chinatown, oto przepowiednia jaka znalazlam w ciasteczku z wrozba na koniec naszego miesiaca miodowego, wiec nie jest zle ;)

we are excited, nervous and happy :)
such a big and amazing journey in front of us! it's been our dream for years and now here it is...
